Inoculant K (Birdsfoot Trefoil)

Previous  Up  Next"

Legumes (alfalfa, clover, birdsfoot trefoil, peas, beans, etc.) can host organisms on and around their roots that fix nitrogen, making it available to the plant for food. Some nitrogen fixation may occur naturally; however, when seed is inoculated with the organism, the rate of nitrogen fixation is much increased. Some seed can be bought already inoculated, some is not available inoculated, so inoculant is sold separately and applied before seeding. Inoculants are specific to the type of legume and since they're living organisms, have a shelf life and should be purchased directly before seeding.

Inoculant K is for birdsfoot trefoil.

One package treats 22.7 Kg of seed.
