Northern Interior Dryland Mix

Northern Interior Dryland forage mixture is designed for the northern, non-irrigated pasture or hay regions of the BC Interior. This blend was designed with the Williams Lake, Quesnel and Prince George climates in mind. The alfalfa, crested wheatgrass and tall fescue are very drought tolerant and the meadow bromegrass is moderately drought tolerant. All of the varieties are adapted to the cooler growing regions of the province and have great winter hardiness. The timothy is very winter hardy and ranks high in productivity among the grasses. The annual ryegrass is present as a short term nurse crop for the rest of the mixture.
