A predatory mite that feeds on the eggs, larvae and pupae of sciarid flies, preferring the smaller larvae. They will also feed on other soil-living insects like thrips pupae, Collembola, nematodes and the eggs of Duponchelia fovealis. These mites do not enter diapause.
Suggested Release Rates: Preventative: 100/m² once. Light Curative: 200/m² once. Heavy curative: 500/m² once.
The product contains storage mites (Tyrophagus putrescentiae). These may cause slight damage to some crops, particularly when growing conditions are humid or in the presence of large quantities. Always apply the product to the soil surface, not on the plant. Test on a small scale prior to application in crops where experience is lacking or ask your supplier for advice.
Sold as 10 000 predators per bottle, plus some storage mites.
